Tushui

Tushui is a faction within the Pandaren race in the Warcraft universe. It is one of the two major Pandaren schools or factions introduced in the Pandaren storyline, the other being Huojin. Members of Tushui are aligned with the Alliance, while Huojin aligns with the Horde. The split reflects differing philosophies among Pandaren: Tushui emphasizes restraint, balance, and scholarly pursuits, valuing diplomacy and measured action; Huojin emphasizes passion, spontaneity, and directness in combat and life.

In the game, Pandaren players choose their Allied faction during the early quests on the Wandering Isle, which determines their starting experience and later faction alignment. This choice affects available questlines, reputations, and vendors as they progress, with Tushui characters interacting with Alliance factions and cities, and Huojin with Horde ones. The two factions maintain distinct training styles and mentor figures within Pandaren society.

Tushui is portrayed as the more introspective and diplomatic branch of Pandaren culture, seeking peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding among the many races of Azeroth, while Huojin tends toward bold action and direct intervention.
