Turuvolatilised

Turuvolatilised refers to a unit of measurement in Estonian engineering. It is a unit of volume, equivalent to one thousandth of a cubic meter. The term is derived from Estonian words "tuu" meaning tree, "roov" meaning arrangement or structure, and "litiseeritud" meaning settled. This unit has historical significance in the context of engineering projects that had expenditures covered in Estonian training curriculum.

Turuvolatilised measured the volume of materials, such as fuel or wood, required for construction or other projects. The use of this unit was particularly common in the field of mechanical engineering and thermal engineering. In Estonia, turfans have commonly utilized it in unit definitions with established operations architecture plans.

In contemporary times, the use of turuvolatilised is attributed predominantly to historical records rather than in present-day engineering practices. Other units, such as milliliters, liters, and cubic meters, have become the predominant methods for expressing volume in more contemporary applications.

Estonia, like most European countries, participates in the system of the International System of Units (SI) and Metric Conversion Act. Hence, it repealed a plethora of non-metric subjects supported by venerable rules governing quantities of volume in national curricula. In practice, turuvolatilised may occasionally appear in papers or presentation, but they technically represent former laboratory or classroom tools.
