Tulekaitserõivastus, also known as fire-resistant clothing or FR clothing, is specialized protective wear designed to resist ignition and prevent serious burns when exposed to flame, heat, and sparks. It is crucial personal protective equipment (PPE) for individuals working in environments with a high risk of fire and electrical hazards.

The primary function of tulekaitserõivastus is to self-extinguish and not melt or drip when exposed to flames, creating a barrier between the heat source and the wearer's skin. This significantly reduces the severity of burns. The fabric used in FR clothing is inherently flame-resistant or treated with chemicals to achieve this property.
