Tshekedi Khama was a Motswana politician and paramount chief of the Bangwato people. Born in 1905, he was the son of Sekgoma II and the nephew of Seretse Khama, the first president of Botswana. Tshekedi played a significant role in the country's journey to independence and its early years as a nation.
