Tsüklonfiltrid

Tsüklonfiltrid, also known as cyclone separators or dust cyclones, are devices used to remove particles from a gas stream. They operate on the principle of centrifugal force. Gas containing entrained particles is introduced tangentially into a cylindrical or conical vessel. This creates a swirling vortex motion. Heavier particles are thrown outwards by centrifugal force and collect on the vessel walls, eventually falling to the bottom for removal. The cleaned gas, being lighter, is drawn off from the center of the vortex.

The design of a tsüklonfiltrid can vary, but generally includes an inlet for the dirty gas, a body for the swirling action, an outlet for the clean gas, and a hopper or collection vessel for the separated solids. Different types exist, such as straight-through cyclones and reverse-flow cyclones, each with specific advantages for different particle sizes and flow rates. Efficiency depends on factors like gas velocity, particle density, and the cyclone's dimensions.

Tsüklonfiltrid are widely employed in various industries for dust collection and particle separation. Applications include collecting dust from industrial processes like woodworking, metal grinding, and cement production. They are also used in agricultural settings for grain handling and in power plants for fly ash removal. Their advantages include simple construction, low operating costs, and the ability to handle large volumes of gas. However, they are generally less effective at separating very fine particles compared to other filtration methods.
