Trägerleistung
Trägerleistung is a term used in German social law to denote benefits or services that are provided by a Träger, i.e., the organization that carries and administers a social security or welfare program. A Träger can be a statutory health or pension insurance fund, the Federal Employment Agency, a statutory accident insurer, a long‑term care fund, or another public or private institution authorized to administer benefits. Trägerleistungen are benefits paid to or services delivered for insured persons or beneficiaries and can take monetary form (for example pensions, sickness benefits, unemployment benefits) or in‑kind form (such as medical treatment, rehabilitation, nursing care, or social services).
