Transkriptomet is a laboratory instrument designed to quantify RNA transcripts in a biological sample. In transcriptomics and gene-expression analysis, it provides rapid measurement of the abundance of selected RNA species, offering an alternative to sequencing-based approaches for targeted, high-throughput analysis.

Principle: A transkriptomet detects transcripts by recognizing complementary sequences with labeled probes or adapters linked to reporters. Signals from fluorescence, chemiluminescence, or electrochemical readouts are translated into transcript concentrations. The device may integrate automated sample preparation, hybridization, washing, and measurement in a single workflow, with software converting raw signals into expression values.
