Traetsia

Traetsia is a fictional island-nation located in the southern seas of the continent of Navara. It comprises three main islands and a number of smaller islets, with a varied landscape of coastal plains, rolling hills, and forested interiors. The climate is temperate maritime, with mild summers and relatively wet winters.

The area has been inhabited since ancient times by the Traet people. The modern state emerged through a process of unification in the 16th century, followed by the establishment of a constitutional framework in the mid-20th century. Traetsia has been a member of regional economic and security agreements since the 1990s.

Traetsia operates as a parliamentary republic. The president serves as ceremonial head of state, while the prime minister heads the government and cabinet. A unicameral National Assembly enacts laws, and the judiciary operates independently. Elections are conducted by proportional representation.

The economy is diversified, with significant contributions from fisheries, tourism, light manufacturing, and services. Shipbuilding and renewable energy projects, including offshore wind and tidal power, are notable. The currency is the Traetsian dollar (TD). The state emphasizes sustainable development and environmental protection.

The population is about 3.8 million. The official language is Traetian; minority languages include Eldan and Noryan. Urban areas concentrate in and around Aurion, the capital and principal urban center, while rural regions focus on agriculture and forestry. Cultural life features maritime heritage, traditional music, crafts, and seafood cuisine.
