Torengebied is a Dutch term meaning "tower district" and refers to an urban area in which tall buildings or towers form a defining feature of the skyline. A torengebied typically combines a concentration of high-rise towers with a supported base or podium that houses retail, services, or cultural facilities, linked to public transit and surrounding neighborhoods.
