Tinades

Tinades is a small town and municipality in the western highlands of Valora, a fictional country. It lies along the Tin River, about 40 kilometers from the regional capital. As the administrative center of Tinades Municipality, the town serves neighboring villages and farms. Tinades is governed by a mayor and a municipal council elected for four-year terms.

The landscape combines rolling oak-covered hills with cultivated valleys and orchards. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters; rainfall is moderate and fairly evenly distributed, supporting agriculture and forestry. The town center features traditional stone buildings and narrow streets.

Tinades traces its origins to a medieval market settlement located at a riverside crossing. It acquired town status in the early modern era and developed as a regional trade hub. It operates within Valora's regional administration and participates in inter-municipal programs on transport, culture, and environmental management.

The local economy relies on olives, grapes for wine, dairy farming, and light manufacturing. A regional road and a rural railway link Tinades to larger towns, enabling trade and commuting. The town hosts weekly markets and supports several craft workshops that preserve traditional techniques.

The population is around 7,000 residents. The common language is Valoran, with a regional dialect; religious and secular traditions coexist. Annual events include a harvest festival, a wine fair, and a summer theater program in the town square.
