Thyristoreid is a term used in speculative and theoretical discussions to denote a hypothetical electronic device that mimics the latchable switching behavior of a thyristor while offering tunable gating and memory-like characteristics. It is not an established standard component in contemporary electronics, and no consensus specification exists for its properties or fabrication.

Operation: In envisioned models, a thyristoreid has three terminals: anode, cathode, and gate. When a gate stimulus exceeds a threshold, the device transitions from a high-resistance off state to a low-resistance on state, and remains conducting (latched) until certain conditions cause reset.
