Thekua
Thekua is a traditional dry sweet biscuit originating from the Indian subcontinent, particularly popular in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Nepal. It is primarily made from whole wheat flour, jaggery or sugar, and ghee or oil. Other common ingredients can include fennel seeds, cardamom, and coconut. The dough is kneaded and then shaped into small, flat discs or other decorative shapes before being deep-fried or baked.
The preparation of thekua is often associated with religious festivals, most notably Chhath Puja, a Hindu festival
