Tetlocks
Tetlocks are a type of small, four-sided dice used in some tabletop role-playing games and other game systems. Unlike traditional dice which typically have faces numbered 1 through n, tetlocks are often marked with symbols or colors instead of numbers. The specific symbols or colors used vary widely depending on the game's design and intended function. These dice are generally manufactured from plastic and have a tetrahedron shape, meaning they have four triangular faces. When rolled, a tetlock lands on one of its faces, and the symbol or color shown on that face is the result of the roll. Their small size and unique markings make them suitable for quick resolution of specific game mechanics, such as determining success or failure of an action, or indicating the outcome of a simple event. The term "tetlock" is a portmanteau of "tetrahedron" and "die" or "dice". While not as common as standard polyhedral dice, tetlocks offer a distinct visual and functional element to games that incorporate them.
