Tehismaasatelliidi

Tehismaasatelliidi is a region located in the city of Vantaa, Finland. It is situated in the western part of the city, approximately 5 kilometers from the city center. The name "tehismaasatelliidi" translates to "artificial lake satellite" in English, which refers to the area's proximity to the Nuuksio Lakes, a natural lake system.

The area is comprised of several artificial lakes, created by installing dams on rivers flowing into the Nuuksio Lakes. This process was carried out to meet the growing demands for water supply in the region during the mid-20th century.
