Tarvetu

Tarvetu is a genus of small, flowering plants belonging to the family Asteraceae. These plants are native to the Mediterranean region, particularly found in parts of Italy, Greece, and Turkey. They are typically herbaceous perennials, characterized by their low-growing habit and often daisy-like flowers. The name "Tarvetu" itself is derived from a local dialect name for one of the species.
