Tangentsite
Tangentsite is a term used in some expository writings to describe a hypothetical site in the sense of a Grothendieck topology that encodes information about tangent structures on differentiable manifolds. It is not a standard object in mainstream mathematics, and there is no consensus definition in widely used texts. As a teaching device, tangentsite aims to connect the language of tangent vectors with sheaf theory and descent.
In this imagined framework, to each open set U in a manifold M one associates a category
The motivation is to formalize how tangent information behaves under restriction and gluing, and to provide
Relation to established notions: tangentsite is related to tangent bundles, jet bundles, Grothendieck topologies, and synthetic
