Talmukun

Talmukun is a lake located in Russia, situated in the Republic of Tyva, a federal subject in southern Siberia. The lake is a high-altitude freshwater body, situated at an elevation of approximately 2,650 meters above sea level. It is a part of the Tannu-Ola Mountains and is a remote and isolated area, accessible only through treacherous mountain paths.

The lake is a small, relatively shallow body of water, with an area of approximately 7 square kilometers and a maximum depth of around 4 meters. It is a typical example of a glacial lake, formed during the last ice age as the glaciers carved out the surrounding terrain.
