Taimen
The taimen, scientifically known as Hucho taimen and commonly referred to as the Siberian taimen, is a large freshwater fish in the salmonid family. It is native to river systems in Siberia, Mongolia, and the Amur basin of East Asia. The species is among the largest freshwater fishes, with individuals reported up to about 1.5–2.0 meters in length and weighing tens of kilograms; exceptional specimens may exceed 100 kilograms.
