Tagurpidikäik
Tagurpidikäik, meaning "reverse gear" in Estonian, refers to the action of moving a vehicle backward. This is achieved by engaging a specific gear, typically labeled with an "R" or a symbol resembling a backward arrow, within the transmission system. When reverse gear is selected, the internal mechanisms of the gearbox alter the direction of power flow from the engine to the wheels, causing the vehicle to move in the opposite direction of its forward gears.
Engaging reverse gear usually requires the vehicle to be stationary or moving at a very slow speed.
The primary use of tagurpidikäik is for maneuvering in confined spaces, parking, or correcting a vehicle's position
