Taekkye
Taekkye, also known as *Taekkyeon* (태권전), is a traditional Korean martial art with a history dating back over 2,000 years. It is one of the oldest martial arts in Korea, originating from the Goryeo Dynasty (918–1392 AD) and evolving through the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910). The name *Taekkyeon* combines *taek* (meaning "foot" or "leg") and *kyeon* (meaning "fist" or "hand"), reflecting its emphasis on both kicking and hand techniques.
