TJP1

TJP1, also known as Transmembrane and Tantalus syndrome-associated protein 1, is a gene that encodes a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) kinase kinase (MAP3K) family. The TJP1 gene is located on human chromosome 21q22.13 and plays a crucial role in signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.

The protein encoded by TJP1, often referred to as TJP1 or TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1), functions as a kinase that participates in the regulation of immune responses and inflammatory processes.
