TCID

TCID, also known as Tested, Conducted, In House, or Tiered Testing and Conducted In House, is a test methodology used in the music and audio industry to determine the damage caused by computer viruses and malware on audio digital media.

This method was developed by the Association of Recording Media Manufacturers (ARMM) and the Compact Disc Association (CDA) in the late 1990s. The main goal of TCID is to test the compatibility and robustness of digital media formats, such as audio CDs, against viruses and malware.

In a TCID test, an audio CD is infected with a known virus or malware and played on a standard audio CD player.
