Szórásdiagrams, also known as scatter plots, are a type of data visualization used to display the relationship between two numerical variables. Each point on the plot represents a single observation, with its position determined by the values of the two variables. One variable is typically plotted on the horizontal axis (x-axis), and the other on the vertical axis (y-axis).

The primary purpose of a scatter plot is to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data. By examining the distribution of points, one can observe if there is a positive correlation (as one variable increases, the other tends to increase), a negative correlation (as one variable increases, the other tends to decrease), or no correlation at all. Outliers, or data points that deviate significantly from the general pattern, can also be easily identified.
