Szkleroterápia, also known as sclerotherapy, is a medical procedure used primarily to treat varicose veins and spider veins. It involves injecting a solution, called a sclerosant, directly into the affected blood vessel. This solution irritates the lining of the vein, causing it to swell and eventually collapse. The collapsed vein then seals shut and is reabsorbed by the body over time, making it less visible or eliminating it altogether.
