Szikrakisülést

Szikrakisülést is a Hungarian term that translates to "spark discharge" in English. It refers to the phenomenon of an electrical discharge that occurs between two electrodes when the electric field strength across the gap exceeds the dielectric strength of the medium separating them. This causes a sudden breakdown of the medium, allowing an electrical current to flow in the form of a spark.

The process of Szikrakisülést can be observed in various natural and man-made contexts. Lightning is a prominent natural example, where a massive electrical discharge occurs between clouds or between a cloud and the ground. In everyday life, static electricity can cause small spark discharges when touching a metal object after walking on a carpet.
