Swisssystem
The Swiss-system is a non-elimination tournament format that pairs participants in each round based on their current scores, allowing a large field to be decided in a relatively small number of rounds. In each round, players are ordered by score and paired so that those with similar results face one another. The method aims to maximize competitive balance while avoiding repeated opponents, and color assignment (where applicable) is balanced when possible. If there is an odd number of players, one participant may receive a bye and receive half a point.
Scoring in Swiss tournaments typically uses a win = 1 point, draw = 0.5 points, and loss = 0
