Superstructure
Superstructure is a term with several related meanings across disciplines. In architecture and civil engineering, it refers to the portion of a building or structure that is above the foundation or ground line, including floors, walls, stairs, roofs, and other components that form the upper part of the construction. In naval architecture, the term also describes the parts of a vessel above the main deck, such as bridges, masts, and superstructures used for crew accommodation and operations.
