It is not a universally standardized term, but it is used in calibration, rendering, and research workflows to capture the subpixel-level properties that influence perceived color, brightness, and edge rendering.

A typical subpixelparameters collection includes several components. Subpixel layout and geometry describe how many subpixels a pixel contains, their arrangement, pitch, and any geometric misalignments. Spectral properties quantify the color weights or spectral sensitivities assigned to each subpixel (for example, red, green, and blue channels) and how these combine to form the pixel’s intended color.
