Sublimaatiotuloste

Sublimaatiotuloste, known in English as sublimation printing, is a digital printing technique that utilizes heat to transfer dye onto materials such as polyester fabric, plastic, or even metal. The process begins with printing a design onto a special sublimation paper using sublimation inks. These inks, when heated, transform from a solid state directly into a gas, bypassing the liquid phase. This gaseous ink then permeates the fibers of the material being printed on, creating a vibrant and permanent image.

Unlike traditional printing methods that sit on top of a surface, sublimation dyes become part of the material itself. This results in prints that are extremely durable, resistant to fading, and have a soft feel, as there is no raised texture. The process requires high-heat presses to activate the sublimation and fuse the ink into the substrate. Sublimation printing is particularly popular for custom apparel, flags, banners, mugs, phone cases, and other promotional items where full-color, detailed graphics are desired. The success of sublimation printing relies heavily on the material being polyester-based or treated with a special coating that can accept the sublimated dyes.
