Stöðingsnet

Stöðingsnet (stabilization network) is a term used in Icelandic technical and academic texts to denote a network of elements designed to keep a system in a desired stable state or to restore stability after a disturbance. The concept is interdisciplinary and its exact meaning depends on the field, but it generally refers to structures that detect deviations, share information, and apply corrective actions across the network.

A stöðingsnet operates by sensing changes, communicating relevant data, and coordinating responses from multiple actors or components to dampen oscillations, rebalance resources, or reestablish target conditions.
