Stuyvesant
Stuyvesant is a town located in Columbia County, New York, United States. It lies along the east bank of the Hudson River, approximately 20 miles south of the city of Albany. The town was established in 1829, carved from the larger town of Kinderhook. Its name honors Peter Stuyvesant, the last Dutch governor of the colony of New Netherland, whose estate, Kinderhook, encompassed the area.
