Stundarhraði

Stundarhraði is an Icelandic term that translates to "instantaneous speed" in English. It refers to the speed of an object at a particular moment in time. This is in contrast to average speed, which is calculated over a period of time.

In physics, stundarhraði is a fundamental concept. It is the magnitude of the instantaneous velocity vector. Velocity is a vector quantity, meaning it has both magnitude and direction, while speed is a scalar quantity, referring only to the magnitude. Therefore, stundarhraði is the speed at a specific point in time, regardless of the object's direction of motion.
