Straight

Straight is a word in English with several related but distinct meanings. In general usage it describes something with no bends or curves. Figuratively, straight can mean direct or unambiguous as in a straight answer or going straight to the point. It can also carry moral or behavioral connotations, as in phrases like the straight and narrow to describe conventional or virtuous conduct.

Other uses include straight edge, a subculture and lifestyle advocating abstinence from alcohol and other recreational drugs, and the straight man in comedy, who plays a normal or unimpaired counterpart to the more exaggerated characters in a duo.
