Stradivari
Antonio Stradivari (1644–1737) was an Italian luthier from Cremona and one of the most influential figures in the history of violin making. He is traditionally believed to have trained in the workshop of Nicolò Amati before establishing his own workshop in Cremona in the late 17th century, where he worked for about seven decades. He died in Cremona in 1737.
Stradivari produced violins, violas, and cellos, employing high-quality spruce for the top, maple for the back
Design and craftsmanship progressions attributed to Stradivari include refined arching, careful graduations, and innovative internal bracing.
Legacy continues through the workshop lineage of his sons, Francesco and Omobono, and through the lasting reputation
