Stouplia

Stouplia is a landlocked republic in the Central Highlands of the fictional continent Valoria. Covering about 1,420 square kilometers, it has a population around 34,000. The capital and largest city is Havenford, a center for administration, commerce, and culture.

Geography combines northern mountains with southern valleys, and the Leir River runs through Havenford. The climate is temperate with four distinct seasons and moderate rainfall that supports farming across the plains.

Stouplia formed as a unified state in the 19th century and gained full sovereignty after the Valorian treaties in the early 20th century. A written constitution established the framework for government and civil liberties in 1953.

The country operates as a semi-parliamentary republic. The president is head of state, while a prime minister leads the government. The unicameral Assembly has 60 members elected for four-year terms. Politics are multi-party, with an independent judiciary.

The economy is diversified: agriculture (grain and dairy), light manufacturing (wood products, textiles), and services (finance and tourism). Leir River hydroelectric power provides much of the electricity. The currency is the Stouplian kor (SK). Major trade partners include Feldia and Norland.

Most residents are ethnically Stoulian, with Feldish and Noric minorities. The official language is Stouplian; Feldish is widely spoken in border towns. Education is highly valued, and healthcare is publicly funded. Cultural life centers on regional music, crafts, and the Harvest Festival.

Havenford hosts the national university and airport, while a compact rail network links regional towns. Notable sites include Havenford Cathedral, Leir Gorge, and the Old Fort Ring.
