Stametss is a fictional autonomous archipelago nation commonly used in speculative fiction and tabletop role-playing, located in the northern Atlantic Ocean. In its canonical backstory, Stametss is a parliamentary republic with a diversified economy centered on fisheries, renewable energy, and maritime services. The capital, Nordhaven, is on the largest island.

Stametss comprises four principal islands and numerous smaller islets, covering roughly 2,100 square kilometers. The terrain is a mix of rocky coastlines, fjord-like inlets, and low mountain ranges; climate is temperate maritime, with cool summers and mild winters. The population is concentrated along the coastal plain and in harbor towns.

The isles were settled by seafaring communities and later came under various colonial administrations. A regional movement for self-government culminated in the formation of Stametss as a unitary state in the early 20th century, followed by a constitutional compact that established its current parliamentary system. Stametss operates as a unicameral legislature with 52 seats. Members are elected to four-year terms. The Prime Minister serves as head of government; the President is the largely ceremonial head of state. The judiciary is independent, with a civil law tradition augmented by customary maritime norms.

The economy emphasizes sustainable fisheries, aquaculture, offshore wind energy, port services, and tourism.
