Spänningsfönster

Spänningsfönster refers to a phenomenon observed in some electronic components, particularly vacuum tubes and certain semiconductors, where a specific range of applied voltage is required for optimal or intended operation. Outside of this "window," the device may exhibit unusual behavior, reduced efficiency, or fail to function correctly.

In the context of vacuum tubes, the spänningsfönster often relates to the grid voltage. If the grid voltage is too low, it may not effectively control the flow of electrons from the cathode to the anode, leading to insufficient amplification or output. Conversely, if the grid voltage is too high, it can cause excessive current flow, grid current, or even damage to the tube.
