Spurwege

Spurwege is a German term that literally translates to "spur ways" or "spur roads" and is used to describe short, secondary paths or roads that branch from a main route. The term applies across several contexts, including transportation and civil engineering (feeder lanes, side roads), forestry and agriculture (logging tracks, farm access tracks), and outdoor recreation (trail spurs leading to viewpoints, shelters or side loops).

Spurwege are typically characterized by limited length, lower traffic volumes, and often simpler construction than primary roads. They may be paved or unpaved depending on purpose and location, and are commonly designed to provide access for maintenance, resource extraction, emergency services, or recreational users.
