Origin and name: The name Spaciala derives from the Latin spatium meaning space, combined with a fictional suffix used to designate places. In-universe usage, the term is associated with the idea of making space usable and navigable.

Geography: The archipelago comprises eight inhabited islands connected by lift-bridges and canal networks. The main island, Caelum, houses government and major institutions; Lumen and Meridian are the principal commercial districts. The climate is temperate, and urban planning includes microclimate controls to support outdoor activity year-round.
