Solostem

This growth habit is in contrast to plants that exhibit branching from the ground level, a bushy form, or a creeping or trailing habit. Many plants naturally grow as solostems, and this characteristic can be desirable for aesthetic purposes in landscaping or for specific horticultural applications.

It emphasizes the unbranched, singular vertical axis of the plant's growth.
