A typical installation includes a solar PV array, an energy storage system (batteries with a management system), and power conversion equipment (inverter/charger) linked to a control system. Systems may be grid-tied, behind-the-meter, or part of a microgrid, and can use DC-coupled or AC-coupled configurations.
