Skolklass

Skolklass is the Swedish term for a group of students who study together during a school year under the guidance of one or more teachers. The concept corresponds to a class within a school. In Sweden, a skolklass typically aligns with a particular grade level in grundskolan, which runs from grade 1 to grade 9 and serves students aged roughly 7 to 16. In gymnasiet (upper secondary school) students usually form classes that follow a chosen program and set of courses, though the organization can vary by school.

A class is usually assigned a main teacher responsible for overall progress and welfare, and students receive instruction from subject teachers in core subjects such as Swedish, mathematics, science, and languages.
