Skammtafræðin

Skammtafræðin, also known as quantum mechanics, is a fundamental theory in physics that describes nature at the smallest scales of energy and matter. It emerged in the early 20th century as scientists grappled with phenomena that classical physics could not explain, such as the photoelectric effect and the spectral lines of atoms.
