SirTech

SirTech is a Canadian video game developer that was founded in 1991 by Brian Sutton-Parker, Robert Ferraro, and Anthony Sallis. The company is best known for its tactical role-playing game series, Age of Wonders.

The company's first games were originally created by Sutton-Parker as shareware titles that he self-published. SirTech eventually gained commercial success with the release of its first published game, 6 Pack: A Disc Game, which created much controversy due to its graphic and mature themes.

However, it was the Age of Wonders series that brought SirTech mainstream success. Released in 1999, Age of Wonders was a critical and commercial hit, selling over 1 million copies worldwide. The game's unique blend of real-time strategy and turn-based gameplay combined with its strong focus on exploration, conquest, and diplomacy, set a new standard for the genre.

Over the next several years, SirTech went on to release multiple expansions and sequels to the Age of Wonders series, solidifying its position as a prominent developer of tactical RPGs. Despite this success, SirTech faced financial difficulties in the early 2000s, which led to layoffs and a significant shift in its business strategy.

After several years of silence, the company re-emerged in 2010 as SirTech Games, an independent game studio that introduced new game development. As of recent times, the status of SirTech Games is unclear, and no further updates have been announced.
