Sinkkimalmeita are mineral deposits that contain zinc-bearing minerals, with the primary ore mineral typically being sphalerite (zinc sulfide, ZnS). These ores may occur in various geological settings and are mined for zinc metal and related products. In addition to sphalerite, zinc occurs in secondary minerals such as smithsonite (ZnCO3), calamine, hemimorphite, and willemite.

Geology and occurrence: Zinc ores form in a range of environments, including hydrothermal veins, carbonate-hosted replacement deposits, and sedimentary exhalative (SEDEX) deposits.
