Sinivetikad

Sinivetikad, also known as the **European Green Vetchling** (*Vicia sativa* subsp. *sativa*), is a hardy annual legume widely cultivated for its forage value and soil-enriching properties. Belonging to the Fabaceae family, it is closely related to other common vetch species and is often grown as a cover crop or mixed with grasses in agricultural systems.

This plant thrives in temperate climates and is particularly valued for its ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen in the soil, improving fertility without the need for synthetic fertilizers. Its deep root system helps prevent erosion, making it useful for slope stabilization and soil conservation.
