Silikonoljer
Silikonoljer are a family of synthetic fluids based on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and related siloxane structures. They are designed to remain liquid over a wide temperature range and to provide lubricating, dielectric, and inert properties for a variety of industrial and consumer applications. The fluids are typically clear, odorless, and highly chemically stable, with very low reactivity toward most common materials.
Chemically, silokonoljer consist of a silicon-oxygen backbone with organic groups, usually methyl, attached to silicon atoms.
Common applications include lubrication of bearings and gears, hydraulic fluids, vacuum and aerospace lubricants, heat transfer
Safety and environmental notes: silokonoljer are generally low in acute toxicity and widely considered biocompatible, but
