Silcoon

Silcoon is a Pokémon introduced in the third generation of the Pokémon franchise. It is classified as the Cocoon Pokémon. Silcoon evolves from Wurmple, the first stage of its evolutionary line, at level 7. It is the second stage in the evolutionary chain, and it evolves into Beautifly starting at level 10. Silcoon is primarily found in forests and wooded areas.

Physically, Silcoon resembles a white cocoon with a brown underside and small, dark eyes. It is known for its incredibly tough outer shell, which protects it during its vulnerable evolutionary period. Silcoon spends most of its time hanging from tree branches, waiting for the right moment to evolve. It is largely immobile and relies on its shell for defense. While dormant, it is said to absorb nutrients from the air to sustain itself.

Silcoon's primary ability is Shed Skin, which allows it to occasionally heal itself from status conditions like poison, paralysis, or burn. This ability is crucial for its survival as it undergoes metamorphosis. Its Pokedex entries often describe it as being able to endure harsh conditions and its silk being incredibly strong. Despite its passive nature, Silcoon is a vital part of the ecosystem it inhabits, providing a food source for some Pokémon while undergoing its transformation.
