Sicherheitsschleuse

Sicherheitsschleuse, often translated as security lock, security airlock, or security vestibule, refers to a confined space with two doors that can be opened and closed independently. The primary function of a Sicherheitsschleuse is to control access to a secure area. By requiring individuals to pass through a sequence of doors, it provides an additional layer of security and allows for verification of identity or screening of individuals and items.

The operation of a Sicherheitsschleuse typically involves one door remaining locked while the other is open.
