They also require a reliable internet connection, as the client device needs to communicate with the server. Furthermore, the server can become a bottleneck if it cannot handle the volume of requests, leading to slower performance.

Examples of server-based applications include web servers, database servers, and application servers. These servers can be physical machines or virtual machines, and they can be located on-premises or in the cloud. The choice of server-based model depends on the specific requirements of the application, including factors such as scalability, security, and complexity.
